Patients Testimonials

“I first experienced the therapeutic effects of Keep Moving during my training sessions at the Parkinson Clinic at Beelitz-Heilstätten. I had been wondering how this training might help people suffering from Parkinson’s disease. After the first few exercises I was surprised to notice how my whole body began to straighten itself and my tense upper-body muscles started to relax. Most noticeably, the tremor in my left hand abated. With each sequence of slow, fluid, sweeping movements my body continued to expand, and I could shake off my usual bent-over posture. When I left the studio at the end of our taiji session I felt uplifted, both in body and in mind. Our training had given me greater strength, and I felt confident to be able to counteract my symptoms by practicing taiji.

Antje (aged 53), from Leipzig, diagnosed with Parkinson some months previously

“I first encountered taiji during a therapy session when I was a patient at the Parkinson clinic at Beelitz Heilstätten. I soon noticed that after each session my agility had improved and I felt less discomfort in my shoulders, back and hips.

Based on my own experience I would strongly recommend taiji training not only to Parkinson patients, but to others as well. Mr. Lorenz managed to teach taiji moves to all of us, even those who were no longer young. I am very enthusiastic about this method of training.”
